Art Fist Says Bring Your Own Art!

Dayna Crozier by Dayna Crozier | 8.30.2011

The beginning of September is shaping up to be prime time to encounter tons of other people’s art. But if you heed this call to artists, at the end of September one of your pieces could wind up in the mix.

Art Fist Collective is presenting Art Squat: B.Y.O.A., a group show featuring an “unknown cast of characters.” They are giving talented artists each one nail with which to hang a piece on the wall at the Periscope Project in the East Village. These nails (work must be wired) are available to dynamic art on a first come, first served basis, with a 30% gallery fee. The event is Friday, September 30th from 6 – 10 pm and artists should get there early before all the real estate is gone.

The Periscope Project is at J and 15th. Check out Art Fist Collective (and the poster below) for artist guidelines and event info, including music performances and DJs.
