This Saturday night San Diego's premier art and music website, Sezio, turned two. In perfect form, they threw themselves a party to hold us off till their next birthday.
The party started over at Subtext art gallery. Featuring art on similar 12"x12" birch panels from artists all over the country, including local favorite Mike Maxwell, and performances by Little Deadman, they got the night rolling right.
Over to The Casbah. North County's, Trouble in The Wind, opened up the show. Their acoustic rockabilly swagger brought the crowd to the front early.
Between sets, in the Atari Lounge, the one man show, Knorphus, ran through the streamer and beach ball filled space. With bumping beats and 90's dance rhythms, Knorphus, rapped, chanted and got the crowd singing along to songs about Moby Dick, Morse Code, his love for raw beef, and for sure the crowd favorite, a love song to his favorite Right Wingers like Sarah Palin, Lou Dobbs, and Sean Hannity. Amazing, to say the least.
Cuckoo Chaos and Writer rounded off the set in their reliably rocking way. No question there.
Another salute for Sezio. Here's to another two years and more of enabling San Diego's artists and musicians.
